Some photos

The front board (?) starts to form up. Currently, I think I'll use my old enlarger's tiny bellows and lense as an objective for this camera; the tiny bellows will allow me to make fine adjustments when taking photos..

I just HAD to pretend the camera was ready, so that's what bellows + boxes will look like

Then, how shall we attach the bellows to the boxes? A frame, of course

I could stain it... would be cool..

Both the boxes have been painted to black, by the way. They need more sanding and more paint layers.

Next, the casettes. I will use the same plastic I used with the bellows, to make the casette "nest" slippery; so the wooden casette will just slide in like a.. well, I don't know

The floods have arisen,  snow melts and it rains. Perhaps next year, I'll be taking these photos with the Camera

Rear box part 1

The front box is almost ready so I started assemblying the rear box

 If you thought the previous one was nasty, take a look at this one

Didn't find any more of them, would have needed a couple more...

And the front box had it's first layer of black paint

First I had to drill holes for bellows and the objective plate

There's about 20 of those... grazy... perhaps it'll be a great front box

Today I started building the front box. VERY simple piece.

Material of choice was MDF instead of plywood. 13mm thick MDF should do. Will have a lot of mass and glue will do it's job well althought I planned to put some screws in the end to corners etc...

All 4 sides drying, perhaps this evening I could assembly them..

and where we're trying to get to:

Bellows: ready

Building the bellows almost completed now; all we need now are frames, both front and rear. the frames will be used to attach the bellows to the front and rear boxes, the hull itself.

Here's a small idea; when the camera's completed, I may perhaps see reason to make the rails longer and build smaller, apr. 40cm bellows to the front, to make the thing longer if 80-100cm is too little..

That's the point where I almost killed my self, for Christ really..  was PRETTY tricky to attach the ends

Dad spotted me being frustrated and asked if he could do anything, and in the end, two of us managed to attach the ends.

 

This part was EASY, the bellows kinda WANTED to take it's final shape.

Yes, I did some photoshopping in the dog's eyes.

This should show what part goes where; the hanging device on TOP of the bellows, etc.
